Structural safety assessment of concrete tunnel lining subjected to fire

The basis of a possible fire design and verification approach to the linings RC tunnels, using performance-based approach, is presented. Starting from an extensive literature review, selection most relevant tunnel fires was analysed. study structural consequences these real may be considered as experimental data in fire, define damage levels. Back analyses were carried out main parameters controlling each state, whose temperature range determined via fluid-dynamic based both on zone models Computational Fluid Dynamic Modelling. Therefore, novelty this paper that proposed methodology introduces levels for lining according approach. In second part paper, applied concrete assess its potential level. First all, expected level underground structure identified through gas temperatures reached during different scenarios, where no observed. This result confirmed by analysing stresses lining, advanced thermo-mechanical analyses.
